APPROVAL OF THE BUILDING OF AN ADULT ED. CAREER PATHWAYS SYSTEM GRANT PROPOSAL TO ADULT EDUCATION AND FAMILY LITERACY FOR SCTI
Description
COMPETITIVE: Grant Funds of $120,574 will allow SCTI to provide fiscal resources to analyze the Adult General Education program components in order to reach the goal of increasing the number and percentage of students that enter post secondary education and earn a degree, certificate, and/or industry credential. A steering committee will be established and a five-year strategic plan to create an adult education program that includes adult education career pathways and transition to post secondary programs as an integral part of the delivery system.
Recommendation
That the School Board of Sarasota County approve the Building an Adult Ed. Career Pathways System grant proposal.
